Every once in a while I like to check out new tools and potentially adopt some of them. I was very intrigued by Maverick render as it promised high quality displacement and plug'n'play compatibility with Substance materials. This was a chance to test out some different scenes and presentations for MaterialMarathon materials.
In general, it's an awesome render engine. I quite like the ease of use and the power of physical rendering. To me it occupies a nice place between Marmoset and a full-blown render. Fun to play with.
